Report to Engineering Manager / Project Manager / Discipline Lead, the main functions of the role will be to lead /co-ordinate design work group with detailed design team and with Tendering team.
Managing team of designers / draft persons to achieve project requirements.
Coordinate the execution of the Detailed Design; coordinate all interfaces between disciplines.
Cooperation with all other disciplines in order to deliver clash free designs and good quality data and content that has been checked and reviewed.
Making 3D / 2D drawings and material take-offs for the Mechanical /Process / Piping / C&S / E&I disciplines.
3D design software (PDMS) administrative activities.
Ensure that proper information is available at any stage of the work.
Tracking and expediting drafting activities and Deliverables as scheduled
Execute activities with the highest required level of confidentiality
Identify technical problems which may arise during detailed design and should be reported to the Engineering Manager and / or the Discipline Lead.
Ensure that the detailed design team have implemented consistently all comments in the project deliverables and ensuring they are included in the next revision issue of documents and drawings.
Check / review documents and drawings produced in the before issue.
Work on Onshore Oil and Gas projects within a multi-discipline team environment at all stages from Feasibility to Detailed Engineering and Construction.
Qualifications:Skills / Qualifications
Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Registered Professional in any Accredited Professional Entity / Country.
Minimum 12 years of experience in on-shore Oil and Gas Processing Plant Projects.
Knowledge of Codes and Standards, Local GCC Permitting Requirements, Local GCC and International Design Codes and Standards.
Experience in Piping Layout, Knowledge in E&I and Structural
Experience in modularised / Skid design of process packages.
Must have experience in manpower and design deliverables execution planning and handling.
Strong working knowledge of discipline design requirements, layout ability and 3D CAD (PDMS) working / administrative methods as well as 2D AutoCad.
Experience in 3D model design review software.
Experience working in the United Arab Emirates.
Experience in projects for Kuwait.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of interpreting other discipline technical requirements.
Good man-management, interpersonal, organization skills and ability to work independently are essential.
Good communication skills and an aptitude for taking initiatives are essential, as is the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
Highly motivated, well organized, resourceful and proactive.
Possess good interpersonal skills with sound written and oral communication skills in English.
