CH2M is now Jacobs. The Senior Project Controls Engineer role carries responsibility for agreeing, establishing and maintaining the project control systems, procedures and control framework and for ensuring that the project stakeholders clearly understand their required input.
- Develop project controls plan, progress measurement plan and other plans as required.
- Provide inputs to project execution plans.
- Develop basis of estimation and basis of schedule.
- Develop budget WBS/CBS in compliance with the companys requirements and approved code of account.
- Troubleshoot and identify potential problems, initiate early warnings and alert management with proposed corrective actions.
- Develop WBS and baseline schedules based on contractual durations.
- Work closely with Project Managers to develop projects detailed schedules
- Analyze Critical Path and conduct Schedule Review Sessions as necessary.
- Integrate multiple schedules into a master project schedule with a clear baseline.
- Establish a progress measurement system (Earned Value) to report the status of Budget at Completion (BAC), Cost Performance Index (CPI), Schedule Performance Index (SPI), Estimate at Completion (EAC/ETC)
- Develop summary level schedule reports Gantt, PERT, milestone charts and the like.
- Develop forecasts and Look Ahead Schedules to any level of details required.
- Update project schedules with actual progress and analyze the changes of critical path on remaining works.
- Coordinate with the project team to implement works as planned.
- Develop all types of periodic reports as required (Narrative, Charts, Dashboards etc.) Review contractors schedules and progress reports.
- Change management and implementation of variations in both schedule and budget.
- Involved in risk management mainly for reporting purposes and financial implications of the same.
- Prepare delay analysis, participate in claims analysis, review of contractors claims and prepare detailed reports and presentations as required.
- Maintain records of all project reports and files related to planning and project controls.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum 10 years of Project Controls experience preferably in Water, Buildings & Infrastructure
- Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Excel
- Knowledge of Ecosys is preferable
