About the Job: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join the Engineering team at the Burj Al Arab. The main purpose of the role is
to ensure that the property and assets are maintained in the highest order through the implementation of the “ Jumeirah Engineering Management System” and the appointment of suitable competent personnel.
Your key duties include:
- Supervises and directs the daily activities of all Engineering Department supervisors and subordinates
- Observes activities to ensure adherence to policies and operating procedures
- Check on completed repair and maintenance works to ensure that established standards have been met
- Assists in the implementation, co-ordination and monitoring of the JEMS (Jumeirah Engineering Management System .This will include the Fire, Life and Safety Matrix, PPM and Work Order Systems).
- Handles grievances, suggestions and complaints by colleagues and recommends appropriate action to the Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer.
- Administer and resolve all technical maintenance issues
- Maintain an efficient and safe working environment for all employees
- Ensure compliance to all UAE regulations and design appropriate plant maintenance programs to reduce all downtime
- Monitor all CAPEX projects and organize various performance appraisals and recommend training programs as per requirement
About You:
In order to be considered for this role, you must have formal qualification in an Engineering discipline as well as Health and safety certification.
You must have a minimum of 5 Years post qualification experience in a 5 star hotel and minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role.
It is essential if you have Middle East experience and previous experience in multicultural environment.
You will have good command of the English language (spoken and written) and you should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
