Responsibilities Wood is currently looking to recruit a Senior Drafting and Designer Coordinator to be deployed within a client Project Management Team in PMC capacity to assist in the management of a large EPC project which will be awarded in Q4 2018.
The successful candidate will be mobilised as of October 2018 and will initially be based in the client office in Abu Dhabi, UAE for few weeks before relocating to the successful EPC Contractor Home Office based in the UAE, India, Spain or Italy. Award of the EPC Contract is expected in Q4 2018. Duration of the assignment in the EPC Home Office is expected to be around 8-10 months, following which the candidate will relocate to client office or project onshore site in Abu Dhabi for the rest of the position assignment.

- Assemble and supervise all drafting activities / design group capable of executing a project
- Co-ordinate all disciplines drafting activities and ensure they are produced to the correct level of quality and in accordance with the project plans
- Estimate project man-hour budgets, review budgets with project management and maintain schedule throughout the life cycle of the project
- Undertake all matters related to planning, progressing, reporting, manpower loading and general administration
- Ensure interaction with all disciplines for all interfaces
- Effectively co-ordinate drafting and design activities with the project and client
- Attend and contribute to design / construction reviews
- Oversee Piping bulk material aspects, bulk take-offs, quantification, allocation and manipulation of a material management system
- Review and check vendor document / information for compliance with project specifications
Skills / Qualifications - Diploma or equivalent.
- 8 years' experience in oil and gas projects is preferred
- All personnel must be fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Required: PMC, Hardship location (onshore and dessert)
- Shell DEP is a must
- Brownfield is essential
