Responsibilities Wood is expecting a contract award by August 2018 for a project based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

We are currently sourcing a Project Manager to join our team in Abu Dhabi. Successful candidate should be able to perform the below duties and responsibilities;
- Take full technical and commercial responsibility for execution of the contract in all matters covered within the terms of the contract (from initial contract review to project close-out)
- Identify and communicate project team objectives in accordance with the contract terms, scope of work and corporate policy
- Organize the project team, define individual responsibilities and motivate team members towards successful achievement of specified project goals, particularly through regular project meetings
- Delegate work to the project team members in a manner that encourages individual responsibility
- Achieve scheduled performance, cost, quality and HSE requirements from award to acceptance
- Monitor all contractual commitments to ensure that all work is being performed in accordance with the specifications, drawings and terms of the contract, that a trend program is in place that change orders and claims are submitted and processed in a timely manner.
- Arrange early issue of key project documents including execution plans, budgets, manpower projection plans (MPPs), front end and detailed project schedules, technical specifications and quality plans
- Ensure the following documents are completed with proper review: plans, permits, schedule, weekly and monthly projection reports, project status reports and any other applicable documentation
- Conduct meetings with client to provide project status updates which can include, but not limited to, projected crew work schedules, revisions to scope and schedule.
- Promote and maintain a good relationship between Wood and client.
- Prepare brief summary reports and workload projections for the Project Sponsor and Business Manager on project status and problem areas.
- Review invoices and applications for payment to assure accuracy of tabulations, accuracy of completion percentage, and recommend approval or disapproval.
- Support Accounts in the raising of all invoices in a timely and expeditious manner and liaise closely with the client to ensure timely payment throughout the project, including release of any retention.
- Ensure orderly close-out of the project, obtain final certificates from the customer, archive all project documentation and prepare all close-out documentation
Skills / Qualifications - Reporting to the Project Director, the incumbent will need to possess at least 15 years of extensive experience to lead FEED, Detailed Design projects of varying sizes and commercial bases in the Oil & Gas
- Must be commercially astute with excellent leadership and communication skills
- Must be degree educated in a relevant engineering discipline with a secondary higher qualification desirable
