Responsibilities Wood is expecting a contract award by mid of August 2018 for a project based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

We are currently sourcing a QHSE Manager to join our team in Abu Dhabi. Successful candidate should be able to perform the below duties and responsibilities;
- The QHSE Manager will execute company QMS and HSE policies and procedures through Project execution with emphasis that all Project design criteria as well as employees have a safe and healthy working environment and to ensure that the company employees comply with statutory regulations and international policies and procedures and see that Projects through all stages are moving as per above.
- Ensure and implement on Projects management system to conform to certification standards and Company policies and advice To Project Management to manage obligations relating to quality assurance, quality control, health, safety and environment for activities performed.
- Implement programs to sustain a high level of awareness, knowledge and preparedness to create a culture within the project(s) within company that prioritises effective QHSE and balances overall associated costs.
- Manage and ensure working through QHSE ISO Certification implementation and compliance.
- Serve as the expert within the field of QHSE when called upon to address regulatory, agency compliance issues, third party safety & liability consultants and subcontractor representatives.
- Identify QHSE requirements and develop project related documents and Procedures.
- Lead, Coach and guide staff within the life cycle of the project(s) and maintain full records in company as deemed required by Company QHSE system.
- Contribute for the development of Project budget recommendations and implementation and to Provide training and development to ensure competency of QHSE Staff and workforce.
- Devise, supervise, and coordinate training programs or media which will increase proficiency in safe practices and promote HSE behaviour and leadership.
- Lead or /and participate in investigations of major quality failures and HSE incidents, follow up and verify that corrective actions are effective.
- Provide a single business focus for accident and incident reporting and assist with subsequent investigation process; provide trend analysis to Contract Management Team to support and provide focus for driving positive behaviours and culture within the business.
- Ensure effective measurement, collection and reporting of QHSE leading and lagging indicators; and issue monthly/quarterly reports to Project manager. Analyse and trend for continuous improvement within all related Project.
- Establish audit program and review audit findings; Verify implementation of corrective action and improvement.
- Assure effectiveness of Feedback/Lessons Learned and Corrective/Preventive Action systems to share with Project management and Company as deemed required.
- Conduct hazard and risk assessments to identify and manage risks.
- Monitor, audit and report on contract QHSE performance and provide assurance to Contract, CSIFM Divisional and Client Management Teams.
- Be professionally accountable to the CSIFM Head of Health, Safety & Risk
Skills / Qualifications - Degree in Engineering or related QHSE field or commensurate experience.
- Holder of a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent.
- Holder of IEMA Diploma
- Work experience preferably in Engineering environment and EPCI projects in the onshore oil and gas industry.
- QHSE management experience is essential.
- ISO Lead auditor certification is advantageous.
- Formal Incident Investigation training.
- Training in relevant HSE specialties, e.g. Lean Six Sigma, Behaviour Based Programs, Root Cause Analysis, Risk Assessment, Occupational Health and Safety (OHAS) and UK HSE regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership, supervision and facilitation skills.
- Must have very good written and oral communications. Required to speak effectively before groups of Senior Management, clients, subcontractors, and/or employees of the organisation.
- Training in facilitation skills and training delivery.
- Excellent computer skills required. Must have experience with Microsoft Office Programs.
- Must be a team player and able to work in a team oriented environment.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule format.
- Ability to make good judgements and render good decisions.
- Effectively lead and participate in teams.
- Commercial understanding of FM Management contracts and operational business processes.
- Good personal organisation skills.
- Good listening and communication skills.
- Good problem solving skills.
