Responsibilities Wood is expecting a contract award by August 2018 for a project based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

We are currently sourcing a Civil Structural Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. Successful candidate should be able to perform the below duties and responsibilities;
- Carry out work in accordance with Wood Group-STS and project Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems
- Follow company procedures and to prepare engineering calculations and provide drawing inputs as instructed by Lead Engineer/Senior Engineer
- Must worked on the Concrete structures and Steel structures
- Maintain the standards of design calculations as required by Client/WOOD
- Good years of experience in the preparation of design calculation for onshore oil & gas projects, Concrete and Steel buildings, equipment foundations, industrial structures, Steel Connection designs (FEED & Detailed design)
- Conversant with International standards and Codes such as American Codes, British Codes and with Client specifications
- Ensuring engineering and design quality, technical accuracy of drawings, material quantities etc.
- Has moderate knowledge in all general civil & structural design and layout aspects such as Civil Site Layout, U/G Composite Layout, Road Layout etc
- Able to review 3D model
Skills / Qualifications - Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
- 7+ years in Oil & Gas (Minimum 2 Years worked as Senior Engineer in major projects)
- Relevant software
- STAAD-Pro, Foundation 3D, MAT 3D, PROKON, STAAD-Pro Foundation Advanced
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Able to work in MS Office Word, Excel
- Able to communicate in good English with other disciplines in effective manner
- Willing to have patience to face work pressure & changes
- Must be able to work in a team with work share basis
