Responsibilities Wood is expecting a contract award by August 2018 for a project based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

We are currently sourcing a Project Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. Successful candidate should be able to perform the below duties and responsibilities;
- Work closely with management to ensure projects are technically sound from an engineering perspective, completed safely, and delivered on time and within budget
- Experience in FEED, EPC and/or PMC roles on relevant projects
- Understanding and co-ordination of technical scope across engineering disciplines, potentially in a multinational environment
- Responsible for organizing Kick-off meeting and for expediting and closing out any actions identified and documented from it
- Regular written (single page) project progress reporting and the written recording of meeting discussion points and actions arising
- Accurately track and report on status of all assigned work
- Ensure that all critical actions (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, Safety Review, Kick-off Meeting) are closed out in a timely manner without disrupting ongoing work
- Responsible for agreeing / accepting variations with the disciplines
- Responsible for approval of cost / budget changes
- Responsible for obtaining approval of all budget variations and any subsequent changes to Project Schedule and incentive agreements
- Responsible for expediting and closing out any actions identified and documented on the Kick off Meeting
- Multi-centre execution interface and data management/coordination requirements
- Engineering and design experience of pipelines with strong approach to safety in design, technical integrity and quality
- Knowledge and understanding of Contracts and contracting strategies
Skills / Qualifications - Degree qualified and (preferably) chartered in a relevant Engineering discipline
- 5 years Project Engineering execution experience in oil & gas industry
- A self-motivated, proactive individual with good communication skills
- Ability to deal with senior discipline representatives in the co-ordination of their work
- Ability to engage in effective dealings with Client and sub-contractors
- Ability to work with technical strength but with the minimum of supervision
