Responsibilities Wood is expecting a contract award by August 2018 for a project based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

We are currently sourcing a Civil Structural Designer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. Successful candidate should be able to perform the below duties and responsibilities;
- Carry out work in accordance with Wood Group-STS and project Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems
- Follow company procedures and to prepare engineering deliverables from rough sketches to the highest quality and standards as instructed by Lead Engineer/Lead Designer
- Must worked on the Concrete structures, Steel structures are mandatory and knowing architectural would be an added advantage
- Prepare structural deliverables such as detailed design drawings and 3D model
- Review drawings, and vendor equipment documentation of basic to moderate complexity within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project and Civil & Structural requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution
- Maintain the standard of drawings produced
- Good years of experience in detailing work of onshore oil & gas projects, Concrete and steel buildings, equipment foundations, industrial structures, detailed design drawings, Steel Connection designs, execute design and drafting activities (FEED & Detailed design)
- Good working knowledge of 2D and 3D systems and their capabilities (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, PDMS, PDS)
- Conversant with relevant international standards and Codes or Practice of drafting
- Ensuring engineering and design quality, technical accuracy of drawings, material quantities etc.
- Has detailed knowledge in all general civil & structural design and layout aspects such as Civil Site Layout, U/G Composite Layout, Road Layout etc
Skills / Qualifications - Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years in oil and gas
- Relevant training in Draughting software’s
- 2D Software – AutoCad & Microstation
- 3D Software- Civil 3D, Smart Plant 3D, PDS, PDMS
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Able to work in MS Office Word, Excel
- Able to communicate in good English with other disciplines in effective manner
- Willing to have patience to face work pressure & changes
- Must be able to work in a team with work share basis
