Responsibilities Wood is currently looking to recruit a Senior Piping Engineer to be deployed within a client Project Management Team in PMC capacity to assist in the management of a large EPC project which will be awarded in Q4 2018.
The successful candidate will be mobilised as of October 2018 and will initially be based in the client office in Abu Dhabi, UAE for few weeks before relocating to the successful EPC Contractor Home Office based in the UAE, India, Spain or Italy. Award of the EPC Contract is expected in Q4 2018. Duration of the assignment in the EPC Home Office is expected to be around 8-10 months, following which the candidate will relocate to client office or project onshore site in Abu Dhabi for the rest of the position assignment.

- Review and approve piping data sheets, technical bid evaluation done by EPC contractor for piping items and vendor documentation of piping items as required per ITB
- Assist project by providing answer to EPC contractor’s waiver requests and RFI’s related to piping items
- Plan, monitor, and report progress for work undertaken
- Implement the outcome of PEFS, HAZOP, SIL and MODEL reviews
- Implement change management procedures
- Review / Validate detailed design and Engineering Deliverables
- Participation in design review, 3D Model Reviews, Value Engineering, Risk Management workshops, constructability Reviews, PHSERs , IPR etc.
- Carryout Technical Evaluation of Bids, Issue Bid Technical Clarifications, Technical Evaluation Reports and Recommendations
- Review and approve project ‘’ AS BUILT’’ and project Design Dossier prepared by EPC Contractor
Skills / Qualifications - BSc. in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.
- 15-20 years' experience and above with 12 years minimum experience in oil/ gas production and processing, petrochemicals and other hydrocarbon related projects.
- Previous experience in EPC brownfield projects in desert conditions is a must, and Gulf experience is preferable.
- Must be fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Must be familiar with Shell DEP standards.
