POSITION OVERVIEW: Provides support to the Smart Mobility Director on all technology driven initiatives throughout the Middle East and Africa, in particular in the Smart City and Smart Mobility domains. The engineer will support the business in all activities in the project life-cycle from business creation and development activities, scope development, scope management and commercial assessment through to delivery and on-going support. The Engineer will be innovative and aware of the latest industry trends and technology innovations in smart solutions to support the broader smart city vision.

We are looking for someone who is pro-active and is able to take on a task and see it through to completion. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Supports the team to identify, maintain and prioritize opportunities throughout the region.
- Participates in workshops and meetings to develop client engagement strategies and scope of works.
- Leads and develops material for client engagements such as presentations to clients, scope documents, reviews etc.
- Provide technical support in the delivery or oversight of smart mobility solutions
- Supports the team in identifying technology partners or consultancies for opportunities.
- Able to lead or work independently to deliver a package of work of a strategic or technical nature.
- Represent the latest smart mobility innovations to the regional innovation committee.
- Build/Improve the relationship with the Client by presenting a continuous and consistent behavior towards professionalism, technical expertise and excellence.
- Bring fresh ideas and concepts to existing and future clients and to support Parsons in adopting new approaches to streamline work activities.
- Support marketing and communications activities for publications, thought pieces and representation at conferences and exhibitions.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Willing to travel throughout the Middle East and the US.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
- 3 year degree in a technology related discipline and preferably a Master's degree
- 2-4 years of total work experience in technology or transport infrastructure development projects
- Must have exposure to Smart City related implementations or demonstrable knowledge of the latest industry trends and innovations.
- A background in telecommunication networks is preferred.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team or to lead an activity independently through to conclusion.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Excellent ability to prepare powerpoint presentations and can work in MS Office.
- Be knowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized in different industries.
- Professional registration is preferred
