DESCRIPTION The incumbent has responsibility for accounts payable and reconciliation activity for the Tampa Laboratory. The exercise of considerable independent judgment is required. This position requires an Associateegree in Business or Accounting.
Processes purchase requests involving use of purchase orders and the Purchasing Card (P-Card). Processes orders initiated by other authorized purchasers. This includes contact with vendors for price quotes and special ordering information. Works closely with the Storekeeper to reconcile deliveries (FedEx) in a timely manner.
Maintains all purchasing records. Reviews all transactions and maintains ledgers of all Purchase Orders and encumbrances. Submits receiving reports for purchase orders to Disbursements, within 48 hours. Submits receiving reports for P-Card transactions within 24 hours. Approve P-Card Charges at Level 2 as needed.
Review, submit and approve invoices for payments and all purchase orders in MFMP. Prepare invoices on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis and submits purchase requisitions.
Creating contracts on an annual basis.
Performs other related duties as required.
