My client is a full service distributor dealing with large sales volume, managing and controlling the entire distribution function and value chain. Their services cover supply chain, logistics, distribution, sales and promotions with best in class execution.
They are currently looking for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead their Meat plant in Dubai
Job purpose - To plan, manage and control the production of the Meat Plant to ensure quality of products, timely delivery of products and cost efficiency.
Key accountabilities - Ensure full implementation of the safety & security procedures and track their effectiveness in order to reach zero accidents.
- Train and educate all staff on safety and security procedures to achieve full awareness among all staff.
- Ensure effective and efficient planning of staff to maximize productivity
- Analyse and report productivity KPI's for the Plant.
- Ensure employee expenses, utilities and maintenance expenses are within budget
- Ensure that the Plant fully complies with all QA standards.
- Direct and develop process control procedures to ensure production of finished products meets quality specifications and standards.
- Ensure compliance with all governmental regulations including licenses and permit
- Provide the team with the necessary formal training, coaching and mentoring to increase their capabilities and maximize their productivity
- Safeguard the inventory quantity and quality and implement stock count policies and procedures.
- Facilitate customer visits to the Plant
- Support the Sales team, if requested, during customer visits
Job requirements - Degree in Supply Chain, Agriculture, Food Engineering or other related field
- Minimum of 8 years of meat manufacturing experience and 5 years of department management experience.
- Food industry experience and understanding of HACCP, FDA, OSHA, BRC, EEC regulations are required.
- Proven integrity in the areas of employee safety, quality, and food safety.
