SUMMARY Ensure each job is delivered to the customer without problems or delays. The Field Representative will be expected to train global representatives on PROMORE's existing and emerging technologies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Supervise installation of downhole monitoring systems.
- Keep the units clean, serviced, inspected for defects and repaired so that lost field time and the cost of operating the vehicle is kept at a minimum. Scheduled repairs are less expensive and easier to handle than unscheduled breakdowns. The Engineer is responsible for avoiding vehicle breakdowns.
- Ensure all logs are kept as listed below, to making all of the required inspections and properly reporting all of the defects: truck maintenance, required inventory records.
- Service and clean hand and pneumatic tools for operation, so the equipment is ready for the next assignment with no delays.
- Ensure anyone on site under his supervision has the following credentials up to date: H2S Alive, WHMIS, First Aid and CSTS.
- On an on-going basis, train the field service methodology and safety by fully comprehending the Operations and Safety Manuals and self-improving through asking questions and seeking additional training in the area of downhole production and services. In coordination with the Operations Coordinator, develop a training plan for himself and see to it is implemented.
- Report any vehicle defects to the Operations Coordinator including unusual noise or performance. The Engineer is responsible for all vehicle damage and ensuring the incident is reported and a solution to prevent a reoccurrence is presented.
- Report all accidents and near misses to the Operations Coordinator as soon as practical.
- Ensure that Operators or Operator Trainees are being trained properly to perform job functions in accordance with PROMORE standards.
- Understand the functions and use of all hand and installation tools as well as all data acquisition equipment.
- Demonstrate complete knowledge of downhole tools/services, their application and principle of measurement.
- Record the taking out of inventory, including instrument line, tools, data acquisition equipment, etc.
- Conduct pre-job safety meetings for all people on site.
- Ensure all equipment for the job is assembled correctly, tested and loaded in the unit, to ensure no delays to the customer for missing tools, parts or faulty equipment.
- Arrive on site with the unit and crew when scheduled.
- Ensure that the highest quality standards are met when performing a job. Ensure that the customer's representative is pleased with our work and personal conduct and the people and units give a good impression of PROMORE.
- Learn as much as possible from the customer's people on site about impending work and relay that information to the Operations Coordinator.
- Prepare accurate job tickets and service orders and reports so that the billing process can start immediately.
- Report technical or equipment problems to the Operations Coordinator via the Trouble Report and verbally if immediate response is required.
- Assist in the preparation of downhole tools.
- Ensure shieves, cables and slings are properly serviced and inspected. These items need to be routinely inspected to prevent injury or death.
- Service and maintain downhole tools as requested by the Operations Coordinator.
- Maintain PROMORE's high standards for quality service.
- Ensure all equipment, including vehicles are serviced and in good working condition.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Operations Coordinator.
EDUCATION Engineering Degree
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to supervise operators and supervisors to bring a job to completion.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Excellent computer skills, specifically MS Word and Excel.
