Charterhouse is working with a worldwide supplier of services and products relating to the global oil and gas production industry. Our client is looking to hire a Project Engineer to be based in their Abu Dhabi office.
Your main responsibilities will be to plan, execute and closely control project management execution ensuring that projects are implemented to the specified requirements within budget and on time. You will coordinate internal and external engineering activities ensuring technical requirements defined in the contract are effectively incorporated into the deliverables, managing and facilitating communication across all engineering functions. You will also be responsible for leading design reviews, workshops with HAZID, HAZOP, SIL and 3D modelling, assisting and engaging in qualification of contractors, reviewing technical bids and performing bid evaluations in advance of preparing technical reports.
Skills The successful candidate should hold a bachelors in mechanical/chemical engineering, with a PMP certification highly advantageous. You should have at least 8 years' experience in natural gas processing/compression packaging industry, with 2 years in a similar Project Engineering position. Knowledge of ASME, ANSI and other relevant codes is desirable, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in Arabic is highly a distinct advantage but not essential. You should also be flexible as you will be expected to spend around 10-20% of your time travelling due to the nature of the role.
