The Assistant Director will have primary responsibility for the program management of one, possibly two, of the specialty masters programs including but not limited to: operations, event planning and student services. Reporting to the Director of Special Programs and Initiatives and working closely with the faculty leadership of the MSMS program as well as the career lead(s) for the specialty programs, this position will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the student experience. Responsibilities include, program management and administration, coordination with program career team, corporate partners, managing operations and budgets, student events and community building. As a member of the Graduate Academic & Career Center (Grad Center), the Assistant Director will share in the planning and execution of Grad Center sponsored events throughout the year including and not limited to program orientations, commencement, concentration series panels, coordination of other events to enhance graduate student engagement in all programs, administrative and on the ground support for field seminars, and serving as an advisor for student organizations as needed. Master's Degree required, strong oral and written communication skills, flexibility, growth mind set, ability to work collaboratively as part of multiple teams, proficiency in Microsoft Office and one to three years of experience in program management or student services.
