About the role Based in Dubai at Mina Rashid office and reporting to the Senior Manager – Properties, the Assistant Buyer will need to expedite and follow-up on goods and services in accordance with the DP World Procurement procedures and provide support to the team by ensuring a smooth flow of procurement functions.
Key Responsibilities - To expedite and follow-up of on all Purchase Orders (PO) for Local buyers in a timely and organized manner.
- Create purchase orders related to service Jobs as confirmation, specifically accounted with agreed terms and conditions.
- To obtain service approvals for all service related Purchase orders and raise GRN on confirmed PO’s in a competitive and prudent manner.
- Coordinating with overseas buyers for timely supply of overseas Purchase orders.
- Handling all rejections related to local supplier’s PO’s by finding alternative supplies for vendor rejected items.
- To represent the procurement department during material control meetings or workshop to generate reports on analysis and control.
- To provide KPI reports for all buyers thereby maintaining high standard of operational requirements.
- Resolving payment issues raised against the supplied items with the Finance department for on time payment delivery.
Qualifications & Experience Essential: High School / Higher Secondary
Desirable: Diploma / Certificate / Higher diploma in Procurement
Experience: - Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a similar position with Technical knowledge of items and market knowledge to source for those items.
- Previous experience in Procurement Department.
