Senior Staff Accountant
The Griffin Groupe is searching for a Senior Staff Accountant for a valued client in the manufacturing industry. Our client is a leading manufacturer of fastening technology in the Americas, Europe and Asia. They have been innovating and growing steadily for over 150 years.
JOB DESCRIPTION To assist the Controller to ensure our client follows local and Group financial and legal instruction. Also, when needed provide support to the overall finance Department
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE - Bacheloregree in Accounting or equivalent
- 5+ years experience
- Certifications are a plus (CPA, CIA, etc)
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Daily Analysis of Sales and Margins.
- Provide Analysis ensure that internal controls are being followed.
- Assist in the control of internal financial flows
- Daily Analysis of ACP (Average Cost Process) reports to assist in inventory Management
- Assist in yearly or internal audit requirements
- Assist with Monthly or daily Reconciliations as needed.
- Assist and support other BAM (Bossard Americas) locations when needed.
- Fix Asset Control and Annual Audits
- Responsible of all aspects of accounting and reporting for Bossard Canada business unit and or other locations
- Travel to other BAM locations when needed
- Perform monthly journal entries as needed from Area Controller.
- Assist in monthly reporting and other reporting requirements and requests from Management.
- Assist in accounting management projects.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Bacheloregree in Accounting; three ve years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals. Ability to write reports, and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Computer/System Skills: CODA, FACTS, Habel, Excel, Word, Outlook/email
TRAVEL
20% travel is expected. This will include international travel as well.
