About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly talented and experienced Hospitality professional to join the Pre-opening team in the Culinary Department at Jumeirah Al Wathba Desert Resort & Resort & Spa. The main purpose of the role is to responsible for providing support to Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef in any administration coordination, as well as communications and information functions and requirements of the department in a professional and prompt manner in accordance with the Jumeirah Al Wathba Desert Resort & Spa standards.
Your key responsibilities will include: - Perform and monitor all administrative duties to the standards to ensure the smooth operation of Kitchen Administration office.
- Be a source of communication to the HOD, Senior Chefs and Kitchen colleagues with regards to any information or concerns.
- Prepares various Reports, documents and forms as required and for the information of the Executive Chef.
- Ensure proper handling, use and maintenance of office equipment and cleanliness of work areas
- Receive and distribute all incoming kitchen mails and documents
- Ensure proper requisitioning and control of kitchen office supplies
- Update and maintain the colleague task list and other kitchen related forms and ensure all colleagues are aware of updates
- Coordinates with all Senior Chefs for the timely submission of reports, documents and other relevant information as required by the departments.
- To be aware and take action when needed on cost saving measures related to the Department
- Maintain courteous and friendly atmosphere and good working relationships with all colleagues.
About You:
In order to be considered for this role, you must possess the following selection criteria:
- Holds College Diploma or Equivalent in a Hospitality Related Field
- At least 2 years’ experience in hospitality (operational or support areas)
- At least 1 years’ experience in Culinary administrative hotel environment role
- Possess a high level of written and verbal business English
- Proficient in Microsoft applications
