How YouContribute to the Team
The Staff Accountant will be primarily responsible for accounting activities for several programs within the Corvias Construction portfolio, including:
- Support internal & external users of construction accounting data by providing timely and accurate information and reports.
- Assist corporate and project teams with financial information as appropriate for decision making.
- Maintain open lines of communication with construction leadership, Operations Directors and the Financial Management team in order to develop two-way communication and facilitate transfer of any required information.
- Actively foster and maintain communication between accounting and construction operations to achieve the desired result for the construction accounting function.
- Ensure full comprehension of the accounting software packages to ensure that the company is operating as efficiently as possible
- Utilize accounting software packages and spreadsheets in the development and maintenance of various complex financial reports including the Monthly Construction Draw requisition, monthly and quarterly internal and external financial reports, audit work papers and various other 3^rd party reporting (PAM/PEP/Schedule G, etc.)
- Participate in and contribute to program operations by working with Program Construction Leadership as required
- Work with the Financial Management team to achieve all departmental objectives including the development and maintenance of departmental standard operating procedures and training documentation.
- Foster a positive team environment with accounting staff to meet all accounting department goals
- Apply and utilize sound analytical skills to review and evaluate construction financial documentation such as loan draw requisitions, Sage 300 CRE reporting, internal reporting and Financial Statements.
- Execute construction draw process, including fostering a positive lender relationship, for draw accuracy and timeliness
- Execute construction related accounting transactions for the assigned projects
- Prepare account reconciliations and fluctuation analysis for construction related GL accounts regularly
- Assist with the timely calculation and funding of construction and development fees for Corvias Construction and related entities
- Assist with execution of related cash flow and corporate billing /reimbursement activities for the Corvias Construction portfolio
- Ensure that adequate financial controls are in place and proper procedures are being followed in accordance with company policies
- Other duties as assigned

Role specific qualifications include:
- Bacheloregree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 1 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in Construction
- Sage 300 CRE (Timberline) accounting software experience preferred
- Advanced spreadsheet and computer skills required in Excel and related programs
- Ability to multi-task and succeed in a fast paced environment
- Professional and positive attitude required with exposure our Partners as well as our client and management teams within Corvias
- Ability to resolve problems through research and application of best practices.

Experience Required - 1 - 3 years: Relevant accounting experience: cost accounting, construction, manufacturing, etc.
Education Required - Bachelors Degree or better in Accounting or related field
