This position is responsible for considerably complex accounting activities, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance to STAT and GAAP. The accountant must be professional and able to handle fast-paced environment with hard deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Maintains accounting Ledgers by posting transactions

- Reconciles the reinsurance of General Ledger accounts

- Prepares monthly estimated state and federal tax reports

- Charges expenses to correct accounts as determined by contracts

- Imports system data to monthly database

- Analyzes/ Researches invoices and reports

- Other accounting duties as assigned

Working hours: M-F, 8-5

Skills:

QUALIFICATIONS:

--A.S. or Bachelor's in a financial discipline required

--1-2 years of related experience

--Equivalent education and work experience may be considered

--Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

--Proven understanding of GAAP and management reporting
