Tax Accountant, Diversified Staff Group (State & Local Tax) (FSO) (Senior) (Multiple Positions), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Chicago, IL.
Work on key client issues in domestic state/local taxation. Implement tax strategies that align with the clientusiness objectives; corporate tax; and industry focus. Review state/local tax returns for compliance clients and audit/review income tax provision for audit clients. Provide quarterly and yearly tax compliance to financial service industry clients. Research tax technical issues and write opinions and tax memos for clients on specific tax issues. Keep informed of current tax developments and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations. Develop recommendations and implementation plans.
Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with team members with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services focusing on more complex, judgmental and/or specialized issues. Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Learn about EY and its service lines and actively assess and present ways to apply knowledge and services.
Full time employment, Monday iday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am 30 pm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax, Law or a related field and 2 years of work experience in state and local taxation in all 50 States with a professional services or professional tax organization.
Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax, Law or related field and 1 year of work experience in state and local taxation in all 50 States with a professional services or professional tax organization.
Must have 1 year of experience in the following:
- Multi-State
- Audit Defense
- Nexus Studies
- Tax Recovery
Must have CPA Certification, Membership of the Bar, or Foreign Equivalent Certification.
