Responsibilities Senior Accountant - Finance Project Management
Northville
Position Summary: This key position requires an experienced individual to manage projects involving the Shared Service Center for Finance and to be responsible for the management, monitoring, and testing requirements needed for SOX compliance.
Position Responsibilities: - Change management: creating and maintaining a good working relationship with the impacted sites
- Project management: ensuring all necessary tasks are listed, assigned and completed as committed
- Understanding and documenting local process to be migrated
- Assisting with and ensuring proper documentation is in place
- Identifying and helping to resolve any gaps between legacy processes at each site and the new, standard processes
- Coordinating and successfully migrating the "in scope" work from the sites into the NASSC on time and with limited or no issues
- Working with SSC management to facilitate and execute the Service Level Agreements with local site Management
- Producing a weekly SOX report for monitoring of gaps
- Providing updates on the closing of SOX gaps
- Working with the Internal Audit team to formulate processes to address gaps
Essential Skills and Experience: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline
- 6+ years of related experience
- Previous Project Management experience dealing with change management
- Previous experience working in a SOX environment
- Experienced and knowledgeable in SAP
- Experienced with Senior Management communication
- Strong analytical skills and excellent organization and planning skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills & excellent interpersonal, leadership and management skills
- Confident but personable self-starter - able to deliver results
- Proven knowledge of accounting, finance, controlling, cost analysis, and purchasing processes
Preferred Skills and experience:
- Experience in the automotive industry
- German and/or Spanish language skills
- Master's Degree (i.e. M.B.A.) or other professional certifications (i.e. C.M.A., C.P.A., P.M.P., etc.)
