The hotel comprises 214 luxurious guestrooms and suites and 6 four-bedroom villas with private pools, all furnished to the highest standards in a modern Arabic style. To meet the needs of long-staying guests, the hotel offers 161 fully-furnished spacious serviced apartments ranging from studios to four-bedroom units. The hotel is located within the acclaimed Qaryat Al Beri complex, on a one-kilometre stretch of private beach overlooking the strait that separates Abu Dhabi Island from the mainland. The hotel is conveniently located next to a souk, offering a variety of shops under one roof. It is only a ten-minute drive from the city's international airport, five minutes from the golf course and the Convention Centre, and 15 minutes from the Corniche and the city centre.
JOB PROFILE The Assistant Manager, Pool bar is responsible for the operation, management and overall performance of the Food and Beverage operations, esp. in the absence of the Outlet Manager. As such he will be directly involved in the day to day running of these areas in connection with staffing, customer services and product quality. Delegation of duties and responsibilities to his assistants is necessary to ensure the proper functioning of all phases of F&B service in the areas under his control. He is to implement all standardized procedures, rules and regulations systematically to be in line with hotel standards and policies. It should be noted that Assistant Manager can be designated in charge of any area at any time and therefore must have a full and comprehensive working knowledge of all areas within the Food and Beverage Division.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Initiatives to aid with the continued development of the Hotels' positioning as a leader in Food & Beverage service and as a Food and Beverage destination.
Assist the Restaurant manager with working closely with Marketing and Social Media Manager to ensure that all promotions and collateral updates (including social media and website information and menu updates) are done in a timely matter.
Ongoing control and enhancement of quality standards and guest service.
Daily supervision, coordination and direction of the outlet colleagues and leaders, anticipating and ensuring prompt, courteous service.
Ensuring that the Restaurant maintains a first class and positive visual impact including; ambiance, cleanliness, orderliness, décor and service flows
Working with the teams to create new ideas and promotions resulting in increased opportunities for Food & Beverage Sales
Working with the kitchen, stewarding and all restaurant leaders to ensure and promote that teamwork is a strong component of the daily service culture
Assist with recruiting, staffing and scheduling ensuring an adequate balanced staff and leadership level while maintaining forecasted productivities
Ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all guests and colleagues
Monitoring and continued development of food & beverage controls
The continuous development and performance management of all colleagues and leaders in the Restaurant
Ensuring all training processes are set up and maintained for all leaders and colleagues
- Ensuring that checklists, requisitions and proper opening and closing functions are being completed in each shift
- Observe performance and encourage improvement where necessary
- Maintain rapport with all departments and attend relevant meetings
- Ensure that all standards and hotel cash handling procedures are met
- Solicit feedback from guests concerning the service and food & beverage offerings in the outlet

REQUIREMENTS - 1+ years experience in a Assistant Restaurant Manager position within a 4* or 5* hotel
- Must possess outstanding guest services skills, professional presentation and sophisticated communication skills
- Proven experience handling a busy restaurant operation
- Good computer skills MS Office and Micros system
