Set up and monitor an ongoing and dynamic approach to Environment/Health & Safety.
Manage H&S issues and improvement plans, deploy H&S standards.
Manage environmental issues of industrial and logistics sites: waste management, management of the emission generated by the Group, definition of Best Available Technologies for the Industrialization of Schneider Electric products, deployment of environmental standards (ROHS, W3E,etc..)
Promote and assist management in the development and application of the group Health policy relevant to protection of all employees (physical, mental and social wellbeing.), propose and increase the deployment of management tools.
Establish prevention programs in order to avoid work related accidents and occupational illnesses, and related costs.
Provide support to healthcare and monitor regulatory changes.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct day to day activity of Field Safety
Assist in the local ISO Certification and maintain copies and make it available,
Verify inspection and audits are occurring
Communicate and assist in implementation of required programs/procedures
Liaise with Federal, State, Local agencies
Maintain the Federal/State safety legal requirement register up-to-date
Maintain a record of events, and corrective action
Review corrective actions with GCC & Pakistan Safety team for Pakistan implementation
Provide incident statistics, analysis and over view to management (monthly) per provided schedule
Update the teams on changes in regulations and requirements
Maintain required forms
Review audit results and minimum compliance
track and provide relevant statistics/information
Assist the GCC & Pakistan safety committee in employee engagement
Implement systems to ensure customers safety prequalification requirements are met
Prequalify subcontractors
Assist incident investigation in 24 hours,
Assist in developing corrective action in 7 days,
Assist in implement in corrective action in 30 days
Assist HR/legal in employee return to work program
Lead the PPE evaluation and provision
Conduct required HSE training
Preparation of relevant HSE plans
Qualifications
Professional affiliation/ registration to relevant and internationally recognized HSE authorities is preferable
Proven accuracy, reliability and completeness in performance of duties.
Excellent written, oral communication skills, and presentation skills. English
Excellent negotiating skills.
Attention to details.
The ability to understand and analyse complex information.
