Jumeirah Al Wathba Desert Resort is a luxury desert resort located 50km to the south east of Abu Dhabi in the Al Wathba District (40 minutes’ drive form Abu Dhabi). It consists of 103 keys in total which consist of 90 Guestrooms and 13 Villas, restaurants and bars, conference and meeting facilities, Talise spa and leisure facilities.
About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join the Human Resources team at Jumeirah Al Wathba Desert Resort. The main purpose of the role is to ensure colleague morale, motivation and well-being are top priorities and that any and all colleague related issues are dealt with in a fair and effective way.
Your key duties include:
- To ensure the process for recruitment activities are conducted in an accurate and timely manner and according to Jumeirah guidelines
- Promote Jumeirah as an employer of choice
- Conduct Exit Interviews for departing colleagues and provide summary feedback
- Analyze, recommend, implement and evaluate processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness;
- Act as a communication champion - communicating and executing policies, and improvement initiatives
- Interpret UAE’s Labour Law, ensure observance of all company and regulatory requirements and provide advice to management and colleagues
- Track and monitor HR indicators to identify trends and provide recommendations for improvement
- Assist in monitoring performance management, provide guidance, conduct appraisals and coordinate training and development activities (Individual Development Plans IDPs) for HR colleagues;
- In conjunction with Training, assist in the development and delivery of training sessions relevant to HR matters i.e: interviewing skills, performance appraisals, etc.
- Adhere to the standards in planning, coordination, delivery and evaluation of training and other development activities
- Monitor the overall timely colleague induction process (Welcome Program, Jumeirah Orientation, Management Induction)
- Communicate information about training events in a timely and professional manner to ensure the business is kept up to date
- Advise and assist managers with all employee relations issues
- Provide opportunities for colleagues to discuss typical employment issues career planning and personal issues
- Organize colleague social events, focus groups and recognition activities
- Ensure compliance with all health, hygiene, security, safety and fire regulations
Qualifications About You: In order to be considered for the role, you must have a Bachelor’s Degree and experience in Human Resources related qualification.
You must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in similar role from a multi diversified 5 star luxury hotel. You will have a minimum of 1 year experience in training role and experience supervising a team. It is highly desirable if you have experience working in the Middle East.
It is essential that you have good command of the English language (spoken and written) and you should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications as well as knowledge in HRMS system (Oracle) and ATS (Taleo).
