Brief Description Responsible for the day to day maintenance of the books and records that supports the Company's general ledger and related sub-ledgers. This includes establishing internal controls and procedures for all of the Company's routine, non-routine, and estimation data processes affecting the general ledger.
Detailed Description Responsible for transferring assets from WIP to Fixed Assets to ensure proper depletion/depreciation and reporting of successful projects
Set-up and record Oil and Gas properties and other assets in Oracle Fixed Assets
Run, calculate and record depletion and depreciation (straight-line and UOP), and amortization
Close Oracle Fixed Assets modules for assigned domestic and international locations
Prepare monthly reconciliation balances of fixed asset and related accounts, investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner
Account for acquisitions and divestitures based on level of assignments
Calculate, record and report on Asset Retirement Obligation
Prepare Fixed Asset Rollforward schedules, Form 10Q and Form 10K footnote disclosures and cashflow supporting documents
Analyze and record impairment of long-lived and intangible assets
Communicate and provide documents to External and Internal Auditors
Communicate and provide periodic and annual documents to Tax department
Conduct analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management
Ensures transactions are recorded, reviewed, presented and supported in accordance with company policies, generally accepted accounting principles and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls
Provide recommendations of process improvements, Oracle efficiencies, or accounting polices related to fixed assets
Prepare quarterly capital reporting slides for management or audit committee
Special projects as assigned or self-initiated to achieve and/or promote Noble Outcomes
Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred), OR Finance, Economics, or Mathematics with a minor in Accounting (or a minimum of 15 credit hours in Accounting)
Typically requires two or more years of accounting experience within a publicly held company or a large privately held organization
Oracle experiences preferred
Lean process improvement exposure a plus
