Description JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for supporting the accounting processes of the company, to include the month-end close process, completion of account reconciliations, production of periodic financial reports, reporting to Masco Corporation, maintenance of accounting records, adherence to internal controls, and providing leadership within the accounting team.
PRINCIPLE FUNTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage month-end accounting close processes in compliance with critical reporting deadlines.
- Prepare journal entries, audit schedules, year-end tax schedules and other required quarterly schedules accurately and on-time to support the Masco financial reporting schedule.
- Perform general ledger account analysis and reconciliations as assigned.
- Assist external auditors with annual audit process providing appropriate documentation as needed.
- Proactively plan for and support year-end accounting close process.
- Manages budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting for labor, overhead, and capital.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analyses as needed.
- Adherence to all appropriate financial policies such as GAAP and SOX.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 3 years experience in Accounting.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated successful ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within department and across the organization.
- Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence, and initiative without daily interaction with management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
Prior ERP experience
Previous Manufacturing or related industry experience
