Job Summary AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Accountant II for immediate employment in the Hunt Valley, MD office.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Provide financial oversight and support on a high volume project portfolio with multiple project managers (PM)
- Assist PM with project setup, project budgeting, project monitoring, system updating and closeout
- Ensure all incurred costs are reflected accurately and in a timely manner on the project
- Assist PM with the preparation, analysis, and update of the project estimates-to-complete
- Perform project analysis and prepare reports upon request for management review
- Understand the client billing requirements of the projects and team with the billing group to ensure proper system set up to accurately reflect contractual billing requirements
- Engage in regular meetings with PM and/or project delivery teams on the status of projects
- Work proactively with project managers to monitor and correct project financial issues in such as % complete > 100%, BIEE adjustments, cash > contract value and others issues as they occur
- Support PAM with monthly close activities to include project revenue recognition and risk analysis
- Support working capital initiatives
- Support project pursuit teams in bid preparation as required
- Assist with internal and external audit support as required
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
- 3+ years of Project Accounting experience or Finance supporting project managers or project teams
- Experience with Oracle Projects
- Experience with MS Office Excel (minimum intermediate level user)
- Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications - Experience using Oracle is desirable
