Description: KEMET Corporation seeks a Corporate Staff Accountant. The position will be involved in external reporting, general accounting duties, the global consolidation process, Sarbanes Oxley compliance at the corporate level, and working with external and internal audit. The ideal candidate has experience using Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Oracle E-Business Suite as well as experience in financial statement analysis, SEC reporting and dealing with international operations. The Corporate Staff Accountant should possess strong knowledge of US GAAP requirements.
Education and Experience: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- CPA
- 1-3 years related experience
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Excellent skills in Financial Statement analysis and experience in Sarbanes Oxley compliance
- Experience in dealing with international subsidiaries and foreign currency translation accounting
- Experience with month-end closing responsibilities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, analytical reviews, external audits, etc
- Public company experience
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Oracle E-Business Suite preferred
Skills/Abilities:
Consolidation review, Oracle implementations, Financial statement review, External Audit and Account Reconciliations:
- Assist with preparation of external financial reporting
- Assist with preparation of internal management financial reporting
- Monthly closing duties include recurring JE's, account reconciliations, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Balance sheet and P&L analytical review. Legal entity analytical review. Ability to use Oracle and HFM tools to facilitate reviews.
- Assist with preparation of internal management financial reporting
SOX Compliance:
- Responsible for SOX compliance in areas of responsibility and working with Oracle's Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) software.
- Continue the improvement of the SOX process and improve documentation.
Other:
- Cross train in the other general accounting areas
- Special projects as required
