A Staff Accountant job in Elk Groves, IL. is currently available through Belcan. In this role, you will be responsible for the entire accounting process. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, and a minimum of one year experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Staff Accountant Job duties:
- Perform daily accounting and month-end close process, balance sheet account reconciliations
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Performs weekly bank reconciliations
- Analyze transaction details including accruals, prepaid and journal entries
- Research and correct account discrepancies
- Assist with analysis of inventory, review inventory counts and balance accuracy
- Manage fixed assets: CIP spending/reporting, capitalizing assets, and ongoing audits of fixed assets
- Assist in annual closing and the preparation of external audits
Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, one year of experience - manufacturing experience preferred
- Intermediate to advanced level Excel understanding (Pivot tables and other data manipulation) as well as general PC/Microsoft knowledge
- Must be well organized and have the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, with ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external sources on a timely basis
