We are seeking a Farm Manager to manage the operations of a hi-tech sensor-controlled, indoor vertical farm based in Abu Dhabi.
The Farm Manager will be responsible for all aspects of running a modern, fast paced,
high-technology, indoor hydroponic farm.
The Farm Manager will oversee a small team to ensure consistent production of high-quality produce for local markets. A basic component of the position will be to simultaneously manage several business activities as well as assisting with daily farm operation. The ideal candidate
will possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit and have a blend of growing and business
management experience.
Skills - Motivated, energetic individuals with plant science, agronomy or related backgrounds
and well versed on the business side aspects of managing a business. Experience
or education in both a plus.
- Minimum 2 year experience working in greenhouse or production environment.
- Minimum 2 year experience with business side management (or related education).
- A strong entrepreneurial spirit and the willingness to roll up their sleeves when
needed.
- A person who is comfortable and capable wearing many hats and has the ability to
take charge and thrive in the midst of uncertainty.
- Superb technical problem solving skills.
- Basic capacity for general maintenance of plumbing, HVAC, and low voltage
electrical systems preferred.
- Experience with common data collection, analysis and documentation tools
- Ability to effectively take direction and implement changes quickly
- Ability to communicate complex ideas efficiently and effectively to stakeholders.
