Quest Search & Selection is working with a well-known international consumer beverage distributor who is currently looking to hire an Application Developer to join their dynamic team based in Dubai, UAE. Your key role is to develop, implement, and support internal corporate applications. Job Description The responsibilities of the Application Developer will include:
Liaising with business stakeholders to identify potential technical solutions and analyze business process challengessupporting projects by defining requirementsMeet business demands through designing, developing, and maintaining in-house applications.Analyze, implement, and support commercial off-the-shelf software applications and hosted software servicesEnsure enterprise architecture standards compliance and industry best practicesPlan development activities and see to it that the estimations for completion is adhered to.Perform other duties as requested by the line Manager
Skills of an Ideal Candidate (Application Developer):
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.Highly knowledgeable with at least 6 years programming/development in .NET 3.0/4.0 or higher, VB.NET, C#, Entity Framework, HTML5, Javascript and jQueryKnowledge of ETL (data interface, data extract and data analysis technologies) Experience (minimum 6 years) with the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack (predominantly SSIS, preferably SSRS and SSAS)Experience (minimum6 years) with SQL Server 2008/2012 An expert in building secure web and RESTful APIs using WCF, OData, Json frameworkExperience in using: Visual Studio 2013 (and above) and Configuration Management toolsExperience using Backbone, Angular JS, BootstrapUnderstanding of Lambda functions, LINQ queriesGood analytical and communication skills, ability to effectively prioritize and assign tasksan expert level in using MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Access, Visio)knowledge of developing in or interfacing with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX - preferable)
Desirable skills: business data or business operations experience with Inventory (supply chain, warehousing, logistics), Sales, CRM, Retail, Finance experience debugging applications written in VB.NETexperience working with business users in finance and/or sales and/or supply chain and logistics and/or retailexperience with Business Intelligence reporting tools (Tableau)familiarity with cloud computing technology and systems (Salesforce, Azure, Google, Office365)familiarity with mobile programming (Android/iOS)
