United Auto Credit Corporation has a great opportunity for an Accountant II with SQL experience to join our dynamic team at our business casual corporate office in Newport Beach. Reporting to the Director of Financial Systems, the Accountant II is primarily responsible for reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, account research, and assisting with special projects. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and demonstrated knowledge of technical and operational accounting functions are a must.
A Day In The Life
Perform daily reconciliation of high volume clearing accounts.
Account research related to reconciling items.
Develop and maintain SQL queries from general ledger and lending systems.
Prepare daily/month-end journal entries.
Assist in developing and implementing accounting procedures by analyzing current workflows and recommending process improvements.
Assist on Special Projects as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Ability to work in an accurate, detail-oriented, and highly productive manner.
Strong verbal/written communication skills and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and react quickly in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
Ability to write SQL queries.
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
Bacheloregree in Accounting or comparable.
2-3 years hands-on Accounting experience within a corporate environment.
Lending industry experience is highly desirable.
