Responsibilities - Design, prepare and deliver high quality science lessons to suit the individual needs of all students
- Inspire mixed culture and ability classes, by creating challenging yet inclusive and engaging learning opportunities for all
- Assess and monitor student achievement and progress in a way that helps teaching and learning to improve incessantly
- Collaborate with other teachers to deliver an interdisciplinary curriculum and share new ideas, approaches and professional knowledge
- Communicate accurately and regularly with parents
- Liaise with the Head of Middle School to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum to specified classes, including selecting resources and managing them efficiently in the classroom
- Contribute to the extra-curricular activities programme and participate in school activities such as assemblies, evening events, conferences
- Assume responsibility for the pastoral care of a class of students, paying particular attention to personal development and child protection
Position & Qualification
- Science Degree and/or Professional Teaching Qualification for Secondary Science
- International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum
- Secondary Teacher of Science
Essential - Native French speaker
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience
- Recent IB- MYP experience and understanding of programme developments
