We are currently recruiting for Registered Nurses - Paediatric ICU for Mediclinic City Hospital in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Candidates with 2-5 years experience in Paediatric ICU setting will be given preference. We are happy to consider candidates from overseas, who have a similar experience and qualifications.
The PICU Registered Nurse provides advanced clinical care within the Paediatric, High Dependency, and Special Care Unit; supporting the functioning of the unit through the application of best practice, education, team work and a patient and family centered model of care.

Requirements Licensing & Education:
Bachelor of Science or Diploma in Nursing minimum of 3 years duration from a recognised Nursing Institute.
Current license as a Registered Nurse in home country and in current country of residence.
Post graduate diploma in Critical Care is preferred.
Specialized Skills/Abilities/Experience: Minimum of 2 years Paediatric ICU nursing experience after graduation; preferably in a private hospital.
Two years previous experience in a paediatric intensive care unit, level 2.
Trained in Paediatric Advanced Life Support.
Ability to deliver advanced nursing care in complex situations for paediatric patients.
Ability to observe, monitor, assess, report and document paediatric patients responses to treatment.
Ability to monitor and adjust medical equipment used in the care and treatment of paediatric patients.
Ability to provide emotional and psychological support to parents and families of paediatric patients.
Generic Skills/Abilities/Experience: Demonstrated ability to deliver quality patient care.
Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement for better health outcomes.
Fluency in written and spoken English (Arabic language skills are well regarded).
Demonstrated competence in working autonomously as required.
Ability to function effectively under pressure.
Ability to promote excellence in patient care through mentoring and quality management.
Key Outputs Provide nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. This includes establishing a nursing care plan for paediatric patients.
Assist the medical team with the assessment of paediatric patients and any procedures that need to be undertaken.
Maintain a good rapport with the parents and family of paediatric patients. Answer, or direct, their questions to the correct person.
Participate in promoting the Paediatric Developmental Care Program.
Educate parents regarding the needs of their child and, when possible, let them actively participate in the care of their child.
