Plumber is the position to handle day to day maintenance call of plumbing and mechanical work forwarded by Chief Engineer/Engineering Supervisor. This position is responsible for maintaining day to day call operation records as well as to provide proper feedback to Chief Engineer/Engineering Supervisor. Frequently review and check for preventive maintenance schedule in coordination with Chief Engineer/Engineering Supervisor which is always in line with Millennium Hotels & Resorts standards and according to professional and safe engineering principles.
· To attend day to day service for repair and maintenance work requested by Chief Engineer/Engineering Supervisor related to the Mechanical and plumbing repair and troubleshooting work.
· Diagnose malfunctioning systems and component using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of breakdown and react corrective action for same.
· Inspect electrical and plumbing system as per preventive maintenance schedule for equipment, component to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment.
· Advise team members on whether continued operation of any electrical equipment could be hazardous.
· Carry out preventive maintenance programme to ensure facility is maintained well.
· Plan layout and installation of electrical and mechanical equipment, wiring and fixtures based on specification and local codes.
· Regularly test electrical system and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixture using testing devices such as amp meter, multi meter, voltmeter to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
· Ensure to carry all necessary risk assessment and fire safety rule regulation to tackle and trouble shooting in safe manner.
· Closely monitor to the co-worker for installation, maintain and repair equipment fixture and maintenance.
· Utilize of variety of tools and equipment such as power machines, measuring devices and testing equipment.
· Assemble pipe sections, tubing, using couplings, clamps, screw, bolts, solvent cement soldering irons, PVC fitting, UPVC and PPR fittings.
· Study building plan and inspect structural to assess materials and equipment needs to establish sequence of pipe installation around obstruction such as RCC work, electrical wiring, etc.
· Proper measurement and cut, thread, bend in proper angle using hand and power tools. Installation of basin, sink, commodes, water heater, mixer and other sanitation appliances.
· Repair and maintain plumbing fixtures and accessories such as electronic faucets & flushes, replacing defective washers, broken pipes of fabrication, opening clogged drain, etc.
· Ensure the quality of all work completed by both employees and external contracted staff adheres to the standards of good engineering practice.
· Contribute to guest satisfaction standards by ensuring that technical support services quickly address, and where possible, anticipate, individual needs. Ensure the safety and comfort of guests and that any requests for service are handled in a courteous and efficient fashion.
· You may be asked to accomplish what is requested by the Chief Engineer.
· Be aware of the FLS, HACCP and safety standards.
· Minimum 2 to 3 years' Experience in Plumbing level for engineering in hotel standard and Professionally Plumbing technologies and basic MEP works.
· Have related technical or trader certification good knowledge in English will be added advantage.
· Have a High School, Degree or Diploma qualification or its equivalent.
