Purpose: The Senior Financial Accountant and Analyst position is responsible for ensuring global finance policy is followed and deadlines are met accurately and timely to ensure the integrity of the financial records.
Key Responsibilities: Manage accurate and timely completion of all accounting close responsibilities and balance sheet reconciliations within own team, escalate risks as found
Ensure accuracy and timely completion of month end tasks and balance sheet reconciliations completed by shared service centers, escalate risks as found
Continuous learning and development of accounting theory and global finance policies and application to role on team
Identify and drive efficiencies and improve processes, develop and support existing internal controls policies
Lead and execute global and local accounting and finance projects within timelines and budget
Maintain strong, independent communication within own team and local business partners, advise other teams on changes to the business and topics that impact accounting for the legal entity
Identify Reebok relevant accounting issues within own team and teams located outside of Boston, maintain independent communication with shared service centers and finance teams to troubleshoot and resolve accounting issues, escalate risks to Sr. Manager Retained Accounting
Drive forecast for legal entity cash flows to ensure profitability, ensure accuracy of actuals, deliver variance analysis and communicate forecast related topics to CFO, manage relationship with treasury to identify new impacts to cash flow
Manage forecast for benefits, manage relationship with benefits and payroll teams to identify new impacts to benefits
Build bonus calculation based on results, provide accurate updates to CFO
Coordinate with facilities to build forecast and budget
Cross train team, spread tasks appropriately
Support Sr. Manager Retained Accounting by executing additional responsibilities and special projects as required, attend key meetings and report on findings from meetings
Key Relationships: Accounting shared service centers, Group accounting, Controlling, Group Processes and Systems, External auditors, Internal auditors, Group functions

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting
5 - 10 years experience in accounting
Proficient SAP experience
Proficient Excel skills
