About the job: The Filler will take responsibility as part of the goods flow team for the completion of the replenishment process in the most efficient, commercial and safe way possible before the store opens. You will ensure the smooth flow of merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor, ensuring shelves are full and the customer can shop the store as new.
Your assignment: - Unpack boxes and inspect items for damage and then label acceptable items with bar codes and store them in the stockroom.
- Send merchandise to the correct departments and keep track of items using hand-held scanners and computers.
- Ensure all goods inflow are carried out as per company policy, systems and procedures.
- Collect customer returns from the customer refund counter and return to warehouse.
- Ensure all goods that are not of sound quality are taken care of as per the company systems and procedures.
- Ensure all items are correctly handled and stocked so as to maintain items in good condition.
Work according to inventory and administrative guidelines to maintain the data integrity of the inventory in order
to maximise product availability for customers.
About you: As a person, you
- have a High School diploma or certificate
- have 1 - 2 years relevant experience in logistics or warehousing, preferably in Retail fashion and F&B industry
have basic reading, writing and mathematics skills
must be able to lift heavy weight and bend for long periods
- have the ability to prioritise and organise personal work tasks in order to make the most efficient use of time available
- have the ablity to work night shift
- must be computer literate
- have the ability to make things happen in a fast-paced retail environment.
- have the ability to use technical equipment
