As the Financial Accountant, you'll produce, audit, maintain and distribute complex financial reporting, reviews and record keeping activities. What you'll do on a typical day:
· Maintain general ledger accounts including the determination of journal entry requirements, posting, account reconciliations, reporting and monitoring of closing results; may review some work of accounting specialists
· Perform analysis of financial results as part of the financial and operational review process; analyze and project expected outcome or results
· Conduct monthly general ledger reconciliations and other financial controls in compliance with company policy and Sarbanes-Oxley
· Conduct preliminary review of financial reports prior to final close of general ledger
· Provide research to senior and executive management on operating results and other financial or accounting issues
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or an equivalent combination of education, experience or training
· 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a large, multi-national company, preparing and auditing complex financial reports
· 2 or more years of Fixed Assets experience
· Advanced Excel skills, and experience with Oracle ERP

· Ability to receive, protect and maintain confidential information
· Strong skills in business writing and editing; strong communication skills (oral and written); ability to communicate effectively with support peers, end-users, and all levels of corporate management
