Entry-level Business Administrator/Project Accountant to provide business and administrative support for multiple project managers and projects. This support includes, but is not limited to, project invoicing, project financial analysis, project budget tracking and variance reporting, proposal support and preparation, project file maintenance, internal administrative and financial report preparation and submittal.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following for multiple project managers, project and clients, other duties may be assigned:
- Project administration and support from cradle to grave.
o Assist with Cost Model preparation
o Work at Risk authorization and tracking
o Purchase Order/authorization tracking
o Project Setup in project accounting system
o Budget/Cost tracking and reporting
o Project financial analysis
o Invoice review, reconciliation, preparation and submittal
o Maintain Period of Performance end dates
o File Maintenance
o Accounts Receivable
o Assist with preparing Change Order requests and Intercompany Agreements
o Project Close Out
- Internal financial reporting
- Interface with Management, Project Managers, and clients regarding financial and contractual project requirements.
- Monthly reporting, including project financial status, unbilled revenue, work in progress, backlog, revenue adjustments and work at risk.
- Assist with Project Evaluation, Estimate at Completion (PEEAC) preparation and attend quarterly review meetings.
Qualifications Qualifications: At a minimum, an Associateegree in Business Management, Accounting, or similar program from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or training and work experience is required. A Bacheloregree in Business, Management, or related field is preferred. Prior project administration experience is preferred.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as financial statements, invoices, and payment records. Ability to search for pertinent facts and data, analyze and evaluate information, and form accurate conclusions. Ability to speak effectively with other employees and clients. Ability to express conclusions and results in clear written and oral reports.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Familiarization with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Oracle is preferred. The ability to manage time-critical situations in order to fulfill deadline requirements is required, as is the ability to work well in a team environment.
