We are currently recruiting for seasoned FT Sr. Accountant with Fixed Assets background. We need a strong candidate to provide support to the Finance Department by assisting with duties involving NextCarearent and operating companies. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for, among other duties, fixed asset accounting and reporting, real and personal property tax accounting, and sales/use tax compliance.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules for internal books, Federal tax, State tax and AMT tax, including asset additions, transfers and disposals, preparing monthly depreciation journal entries
- Maintain monthly personal and real property tax accounting, and the preparation and review of personal property tax filings with state and local tax agencies
- Prepare monthly and quarterly sales/use tax filings and process payments
- Other general ledger entries at month-end closing, as assigned
- Balance sheet account reconciliations at month-end closing, as assigned
- Expense account variance analysis at month-end closing, as assigned
- Prepare various audit schedules and analysis, as assigned
- Cross-train and assist with duties of other Senior Accountants
- Performs other related duties as assigned or described in Company policy.
Job Requirements Education: Bacheloregree in Business, Accounting or Finance.
Experience: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong aptitude for numbers. Good analytical skills.
VALUED BUT NOT REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: CPA, CMA, MBA. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains), FAS
Experience: Minimum of three years in Accounting; health care industry experience.
