Job Summary: The Senior Accountant will assist the Finance Group with daily, monthly, and annual financial requirements of consolidation, reporting and financial systems support
Primary Responsibilities: - Create and prepare monthly consolidated reporting package
- Update, prepare and create monthly reports
- Prepare monthly consolidated account analysis and commentary
- Maintain details of fixed asset subsidiary schedules and reconcile same to G/L monthly
- Ensure monthly reconciliation of Inter Company balances with affiliates each month
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Perform accounting for North America Holding & Information Technology throughout each month and at months end
- Perform monthly sub-ledger reconciliation (i.e. AR, AP, FA, etc)
- Compilation of annual budget and monthly forecast package and commentary, including swings analysis
- Maintaining proper accruals and prepaid balances
- Maintain capital lease schedules and payments
Additional Responsibilities: - Provide assistance to management in preparation/consolidation of annual budget package
- Coordination of annual physical inventories of fixed assets and recording of necessary adjusting entries
- Prepare required supporting schedules and documentation for external and internal auditors in their review
- Assist business unit in understanding financials provided
- Additional ad-hoc, special projects
Educational & Technical Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance
- 3+ years of general accounting experience
- High proficiency in the use of MS Excel, Word and MS Access
- Oracle and Hyperion experience preferred
- Strong ability to multi task
- Ability to work extended hours and travel when required
