One of our manufacturing clients in Milwaukee, OR is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to add to their growing team! This individual will report to the Controller and be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks. The perfect individual will be flexible and have the ability to juggle deadlines and multi-task. They are also looking for someone that enjoys being challenged, creating process improvements and proactively tackle issues. This company provides a stable environment with great benefits and growth potential. Salary ranges from $80,000 - $100,000 depending on experience.
Typical duties include:
- Participate in month-end close process including: preparing journal entries, performing accounting reconciliations and preparing financial statements
- Assist in consolidations and reporting
- Create and maintain policies and processes
- Utilize technical accounting experience to research and provide guidance on complex accounting issues
- Assist in external audits
- Lead meetings and support manager
- Train, mentor and review the work of othersi>
- Various ad hoc projects
Desired experience: - Bacheloregree in Accounting or related field is required
- CPA license is preferred
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Public accounting experience a plus
- Experience with large ERP system
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to problem solve
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (mainly Word and Excel)
