GCC leisure travelers, visiting Dubai on weekends and public holidays will constitute the hotel's tertiary segment.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Guest Relations Officer to be part of the pre-opening team at this newly opening luxury 5 *property. The main purpose of this position is to actively contribute to the successful achievement of hotel’s goals of High Standard Quality Guest Service.
Key responsibilities 1.Prepare for daily VIPs arrivals in terms of room allocation, amenities and special requests of Guests.
2.Keep welcome pack ready for VIP arrival (Reg.-cards, room keys, welcome drink)
3.Register and process check in/out for all VIPs guests efficiently and professionally, alert FOM & MOD on arrival.
4.Escort VIP gussets to their rooms.
5.Greet all guests upon arrivals and departure.
6.Update guest information into the computer after a complete check in.
7.Good knowledge of cashiering duties, foreign exchange transactions, and settlement upon Guests’ departure.
8.Updating RGR (Repeated Guest Ratio) report on daily basis.
9.Provide friendly sand courteous service to guest and respond promptly to all requests and inquiries at all time
10.Resolve guests complaints/ requests and liaise with the department concerned to ensure immediately follow up.
11.Good communication with GMs PA in order to complete all Ex-Office requests regarding potential MIP arrivals.
12.Handle issuance of guest room key cards and ensure effective control for guest security.
13.Have knowledge of the hotel rate codes, package, segmentation, discounts and how to handle each.
14.Follow up with Concierge regarding shuttle Bus timings.
15.Daily courteous calls to VIP rooms, so too with other guests.
16.Report any unusual occurrences or requested to manager.
17.Be aware of the hotel accident Prevention Policies.
18.Ensure the cleanliness and neatness of front office area.
19.Review log book, verify outstanding and follow up pending. Identify if any special assignment for the day
20.Re-announce VIP rooms to Housekeeping and F&B departments.
21.Check if all departure details for the day have been taken, as well as for the next day.
22.To arrange for bouquets, cake and cards in case of guest’s anniversary and birthdays.
23.Check VIP rooms after amenities are placed.
24.File daily guest relations report and documents systematically.
25.At the end of the shift or the day, he has to communicate all information that the next shift has to know for a well running of the operations.
26.Reviews Guest Comments VEOSS daily and reply to all of them, consult the FOM when complains accurse.
27.To effectively handle all guest complaints concerning the Front Office in co-ordination with the Front Office Manager, taking corrective action to prevent recurrence and convert the guest into a repeat customer. Co-ordinate proper actions with other departments, informs General Manager.
28.He/she is familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility.
29.Other duties as assigned.
30.Check Hotel / Residences situation, occupancy, functions, groups, VIPs.
Key requirements a. posses at least two (2) years of experience in a similar role (preferably in a five (5) star property)
b. preferably with previous pre-opening experience in a similar role
c. an excellent team player
d. has a high degree of ‘emotional intelligence’, remains rational and calm under pressure and is open-minded and excited by cultural and professional diversity.
