Providence is calling a Lab Supervisor (Clinical Laboratory Services, Variable, 1.0) to Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, Washington. In this position you will:
- Monitor processes for safe patient care and provide oversight for daily operations of the laboratory.
- Participate in the interviewing and selection of staff.
- Initiate counseling or disciplinary procedures when warranted and according to organizational guidelines.
- Complete performance evaluations for assigned staff.
Qualifications Required qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology.
- Medical Technologist/Medical Lab Scientist through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent
- State of Washington Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist certification within 30 days of hire.
- Current BLS-Healthcare Provider (AHA accredited) within 30 days of hire.
- One year experience with high complexity testing.
- Two year's experience a a Medical Technologist/Medical Lab Scientist (ASCP)
