Environmental Department Supervisor
HOURS OF WORK: - Typically days but must be flexible as needed or required
DUTIES: - 50% Comply with all regulatory requirements for environmental aspects. Become knowledgeable on all aspects of the environmental process in wastewater and across the facility. Provide leadership and training with operators, daily wastewater plant operations monitoring and adjustments, coordinating daily activities. Manage farm aspects. Maintaining grounds including nuisance pests and berms. Build relationships with Environmental employees (people/coaching skills) as well as plant team members.
- 15% Small Projects (piping, valve and pump upkeep, etc.)
- 15% Verification of environmental aspects at the main plant including leading the water team (e.g., water audits, drain audits, regulatory etc.)
- 5% Attend meetings as scheduled or called
- 5% Formal Training (Environmental training for the team and the plant, etc.)
- 5% Measure chemical usage
- 5% Capital Projects
- Perform various other duties as needed or as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to solve mathematical equations and prepare understand statistical data.
- Proficient verbal, written and analytical communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work within the team and function as a leader (exhibit conflict resolution and team building skills) or a member to achieve team goals.
- Be willing to alternate "on-call" duties
- Some travel
- The ability to become Class K certified after 6 months
