About the role Joining a small but expanding Accounts team as an Accounts Payable Executive, your primary role will be to facilitate the day to day Accounts Payable for Essence. This will include helping to manage our day-to-day cash flow and maintaining strong relationships with our business partners.
With a fast growing business, spend control is mission critical and cash is king. There’s also a lot of change with evolving business requirements. This role is crucial in keeping control of these and supporting our continued development.
Some of the things we’d like you to do:
- Entering and coding invoices and expenses
- Facilitating the internal authorization of invoices
- Review all staff expenses to ensure that all claims are properly approved, supported with receipts and in line with the company’s claim policies
- Being the central point of contact internally and for external parties for accounts queries
- Being responsible for the resolution of these accounts queries
- Assisting with payment runs
- Assisting in reconciliation of AP ledgers and media accrual accounts
- Bank reconciliations
A bit about yourself:
- Degree/diploma in accounting
- Ideally 1 -2 years’ experience in accounts payable
- Experience of working with Microsoft Excel
- Responsible, diligent and attentive to detail; follows through on queries and issues
- Strong communicator, comfortable in dealing with both internal and external parties, clients and suppliers
- Recognizes and resolves problems quickly and efficiently
- SAP system experience preferable
- Experience managing multiple offices desired
- Knowledge of the Japanese language will be a plus
