Global Internal Audit provides independent, objective assurance to management and the risk and audit committees as to whether the framework of risk management, control, and governance processes, as designed and represented by management, is adequate and functioning.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as a Project Manager.
Principal responsibilities - Project Managers plan, mobilize and direct teams or innovation pods of varying complexity from inception to closure. They are typically responsible for leading and managing large scale change programmes and business transformations.
- We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join us in the role of Project Manager, who will be taking a leadership role in a significant programme developing innovative risk management tools in HSBC Singapore.
- Effectively initiates and shapes the programme, developing the initial business case and obtaining approval to proceed.
- Oversees the development of a well-defined programme plan. Coordinates planning across multiple Project teams and delivery partners. Optimizes the plan after managing constrains to maximize benefits and minimize risk and ensures all deliveries in time.
- Working with Senior Stakeholders, Sponsors and Project Beneficiaries, obtains buy-in, collaborates and influences senior management stakeholders and business partners for all key programme plans, commitments and changes.
- Proactively identify, determine and analyze performance metrics and measurements and develops improvement plans to track and drive on time delivery
- Ensure that the projects costs are effectively managed within the budgets. Work with Finance to ensure accurate accounting, tax, allocation, attribution and recovery of project cost where required.
- Actively manage and coordinate the programme plan and roadmap, handling changes as they arise and keeping stakeholders focused on the agreed change outcomes and benefits
- Plans and manage the implementation of risk tools produced by the programme, to ensure benefits are realized and that the transition from current state to target state is smooth. Ensuring that the organization and stakeholders are ready, willing and able to adopt and embed the new tools.
- Act as a change leader with the business leadership and business sponsor; a visible and clear leader for the programme and the delivery of its outcomes and benefits
- Identify and remove barriers to programme success
- Promote pace and energy within the team and lead by example
- Ensure if there is any regulatory requirements e.g. meeting the milestones, reporting of project status
- As a role model, encourage collaboration and team work within the Innovation lab and with other teams
- Able to form effective international and multi-disciplinary teams; such as resources from other project management partners, business partners and externals
- Maintain a strong focus on people development and ensure programme resources receive any necessary training and support particularly on the project management frameworks
- Drive a performance management based culture to improve and drive efficiencies and performance including the effective management of underperformers
- Lead performance management process around objectives, review and calibration within the programme
- Promote the Group's Values and strategy by creating a positive work environment and promoting teamwork to drive engagement
Qualifications
Requirements - Proven ability to work across regions whilst maintaining a global perspective
- Demonstration of commerciality with strong financial acumen
- Proven ability to work and build trusting relationships with senior stakeholders and business sponsors
- Evidence of ability to make key strategic decisions
- Delivery of large scale complex programmes at pace, developing high performing interchanging teams to support delivery at each stage
- Strong people and team management experience
- Proven project management, implementation and benefits realization experience
- Industry accreditation on Programme and Project Management preferred
