This is an established commodity trading MNC with a global presence. Singapore serves as the Asia Pacific Headquarters and trades in energy. The company is currently looking to hire a middle agent /risk analyst to support the crude desk.
Reporting to the Risk Manager located in Singapore, the Analyst will play an integral function in ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of P&L and exposure reconciliation on a everyday basis for the crude desk. The analyst will also ensure that the curves are reasonably marked and monitor VAR limits. The Analyst will also work cross- functionally with the traders, operations, credit risk, trade finance, and accounting. As a key member of the middle office team, the Analyst will be actively involved in in-house system developments and have the exposure to cover multiple products.
The prosperous candidate will be degree qualified in a finance / business / engineering discipline with 3-6 years’ work practice in a physical commodity trading environment. You will be driven, independent, have an eye for details and is a strong team player. To excel in the function, you must be able to work in a fast paced environment under pressure. Candidates that are from the energy sector will have a distinct advantage.
